Gregory Rheingans, age 69, of Chetek, WI, passed away peacefully in Wausau, WI on the morning of December 12th, 2023. He was born to Austin and Ottilia Rheingans on December 18, 1953 in Chetek WI. Greg was known to be a funny, kind, and loving man. Though, for many Greg meant more than can be explained with just words, his impact on those around him was insurmountable. Greg enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. There was no greater joy for him than to be surrounded by the love and laughter of his family.
Greg was preceded in death by his first wife, JoAnn Rheingans; children, Christina Stapleton and Jacob Rheingans; parents, Austin and Ottilia Rheingans; and his brother, Stan Rheingans.
Greg is survived by his loving wife, Marsha; son, Greg (Angela) Rheingans; step-son, Josh Ward; step-daughter, Nikki Ward; grandchildren, Emma, Kallie, Jordan, Alana, Destiny, Aaliyah, Mason, Dayah, and Sawyer; great grandchildren, Blakelee and Harlow; siblings, Pat Mitchell, Brian Rheingans, Rick (Diane) Rheingans, Barb (Dell) Mitchell; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 11am located at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Chetek, WI. Visitation will be held one hour prior to funeral.
