The lady Bulldogs softball team dropped its first two games of the week when they were defeated by the Hayward Hurricanes and St. Croix Falls Saints. Fortunately, Chetek-Weyerhaeuser finished the week with back-to-back wins when they shutout Ladysmith 15-0 and edged Cumberland 11-9.

Coming off of a 12-run win over Boyceville in the season opener, the Chetek-Weyerhaeuser baseball team started conference play last week, losing to Spooner and Ashland while downing Heart O’North foe Cameron.

Competing in the third and final indoor track meet of the spring season, the Chetek-Weyerhaeuser tracksters traveled north to Ashland to take on all of the Heart O’North Conference schools except Cameron.

The lady Bulldogs saw its losing streak reach four games to start the season after they were shutout by both Spooner and Cameron last week. However, Chetek-Weyerhaeuser ended the week on a high note with a 16-5 win at Ashland.

In their first games of spring 2024, the lady Bulldogs lost back-to-back games to nonconference opponents Loyal/Greenwood and Boyceville. Field conditions were not quite playable as of last week, so the teams met for a showdown at Woodside Sports Complex in Mauston on Saturday, April 6.
