Monday, Feb. 12
10:51 a.m., A gas leak was reported in the 700 block of north East St. in New Auburn. The reporting party said the building was still occupied at the time of the report, attempting to shut off the gas lines. New Auburn Fire Department was requested at the scene.
1:38 p.m., A vehicle pursuit was reported by officers near Banks St. and Sixth St. in Chetek. Law enforcement requested a tow for the vehicle and the subject was taken to jail.
4:19 p.m., An incident of disorderly conduct was reported in the 1300 block of 19 3/8 St. in Cameron. The reporting party said a juvenile subject was destroying items in the residence. Deputies went to the residence to speak with the involved parties about the incident.
Tuesday, Feb. 13
12:31 a.m., An officer conducted a traffic stop near Darn Republican St. and Lakeview Dr. in Chetek. The driver of the vehicle underwent a field sobriety test and the officer took the subject to jail for intoxication.
12:23 p.m., A medical emergency was reported in the 200 block of Woodard St. in Chetek. Chetek EMS was requested at the residence. An area funeral home was contacted.
9:55 p.m., A motor vehicle crash was reported near 3 ½ Ave. and 19 ¼ St. in Chetek. Deputies were on the scene and said the passenger of the vehicle fled the scene on foot. A tow service was requested to remove the vehicle and a drone was dispatched to try and locate the passenger and driver of the vehicle.
11:48 p.m., An officer conducted a traffic stop near Dallas St. and Second St. in Chetek. A vehicle search was conducted during the traffic stop and the subject was taken to jail for bail jumping and possession of THC. The passenger was released and a tow service was requested to remove the vehicle.
Wednesday, Feb. 14
9:59 p.m., A caller reported a motor vehicle crash near mile marker 136 in Cameron on Hwy. 53. The reporting party said they observed a vehicle slide into the median. Law enforcement arrived on the scene and shut down a portion of the roadway while the vehicle was removed. The driver of the vehicle did not report any injuries from the incident.
11:46 p.m., An officer said they observed a vehicle that had slid off the roadway near Ridgeway Ave. and Fourth St. in Chetek. The officer spoke with the driver who said they were making arrangements for the vehicle to be removed.
Thursday, Feb. 15
7:33 a.m., A caller said they observed a vehicle in a ditch near mile marker 135 in Cameron on Hwy. 53. Deputies went to the scene to investigate and a tow service was requested to remove the vehicle.
11:41 a.m., A caller reported a subject for making threats to employees at a business in the 900 block of 24 ½ St. in Chetek. Deputies located the subject and issued them a citation for disorderly conduct.
1:02 p.m., An incident of disorderly conduct was reported in the 700 block of south First St. in Cameron. Law enforcement was requested at the scene to assist with a juvenile who was being physical with staff at the address. The juvenile subject left the address with their guardians.
4:18 p.m., Two vehicles were reported in the roadway near 14 ½ St. and 5 ½ Ave. in Dallas. A deputy said the vehicles were parked in the turn lane. A tow service was requested to remove the vehicle.
5:37 p.m., A caller from a business in the 800 block of Dallas St. in Chetek said a male subject asked them about steak sauce. The reporting party was unsure if they would return.
5:45 p.m., A caller from the 800 block of Dallas St. in Chetek said a male subject who had come to the business earlier and was upset about steak sauce had returned. An officer spoke with the employees of the business who requested the subject be removed.
Friday, Feb. 16
8:57 a.m., A medical emergency was reported in the 100 block of Arlington Ave. in Cameron. An area funeral home was requested.
4:24 p.m., A caller observed a vehicle crash near 13 ½ 14 ½ St. and Fourth Ave. in Dallas. A responding deputy said the crash involved only one vehicle and the driver was picked up from the scene. The deputy said the driver ran over a southbound sign for Fourth Ave. An area tow service was requested to remove the vehicle.
6:17 p.m., A structure fire was reported in the 500 block of west Main St. in Cameron. The reporting party said they observed black smoke billowing out of a chimney. Upon further investigation of the address, law enforcement said everything appeared to be normal.
8:47 p.m., A caller reported a male subject for walking in the middle of the roadway in the 800 block of west Banks St. in Chetek. The reporting party said the subject appeared to be staggering. Officers attempted to locate the subject.
10:41 p.m., A mental disturbance was reported in the 100 block of Ninth St. in Cameron for a juvenile subject. The subject was located and law enforcement spoke with the subject’s guardians. Arrangements were made for the subject’s wellbeing.
Saturday, Feb. 17

Sunday, Feb. 18
10:34 a.m., A domestic disturbance was reported in the 500 block of west Main St. in Cameron. A caller said a male subject was throwing objects and hollering outside a residence. The reporting party said the subject was throwing objects at the house and began taking off his clothes. A female subject locked herself in a room to stay separated from the male subject. Officers responded to the scene and spoke with the male and female subject. The male subject was taken to jail.
11:42 a.m., A caller report a hit and run auto accident near 12 ½ Ave. and 21st St. in Cameron. The reporting party said a vehicle drove into a ditch and struck a garbage can and left behind pieces of their vehicle.
6:51 p.m., A deputy conducted a traffic stop near mile marker 139 south on Hwy. 53 in Cameron. A tow service was requested to remove the vehicle and a K-9 was requested to help with a search of a vehicle. A deputy took a subject to jail for possession of THC.
7:25 p.m. A domestic disturbance was reported in the 1000 block of Second St. in Chetek. The reporting party said a male and female subject were arguing and the male subject was intoxicated and was becoming physical with the female subject. Law enforcement took the female subject to an area hotel and the male subject was taken to jail.
10:45 p.m., An incident of disorderly conduct was reported in the 600 block of 27 ¼ St. in Chetek. The caller said a female subject came to their residence and said a male subject she was acquainted with had assaulted her. Chetek EMS was requested at the scene to offer medical assistance. Deputies located the male subject and he was taken to jail.
